{Yarn Along}

Joining Ginny for another Yarn Along:

I’m knitting again! Yep… my thumb is pain free and even knitting doesn’t make it ache. I know that I may need the brace again sometime, but for now, I’m good to go!

All I can give you is a sneak peek of what I’ve been working on…

*shhhh!* it’s a surprise!

I can’t wait to show you for real!

I’ve been reading Wildwood slowly. I love it, I really do, but I find it too jam packed to read at bedtime, which is when most of my reading time happens these days. I’m reading Going Postal by Terry Pratchett and The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh as well. Oh, and Brooklyn Tweed’s new look book came out this morning.

Have you seen this!?

I’m overwhelmed. These patterns are stunning, and I already have my favorites picked out.

There’s Burr:

And Sempervivum:

And my favorite of all, Hayward:

Are you in love yet? I think it’s a very good fall to be a knitter, don’t you?

  1. Your secret knitting is so pretty [I can tell even from the little bit I can see]. I love, love Hayward, oh my, I really want that on my needles.

  2. Those BT patterns are gorgeous! I love the roll neck on the cover – I’ve never been brave enough to buy sucha lot of yarn for a project for myself (that I’d probably never get to fit properly…) Perhaps next year that should be my resolution. Break out of the comfort zone.

  3. ooooo…secret knitting! Can’t wait ’til you can share!

Jared Flood is an amazing designer and I love his patterns.

I absolutely LOVED The Language of Flowers. I hope you do as well.

  4. I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Pretty lace, I can’t wait to see it. Those patterns are drool-worthy.

  5. So glad the thumb is better…very lacey sneak peek. Can’t wait to see what it becomes. OMG! The Brooklyn Tweed stuff! Gasp…so many things, so little time. It is just stunning!

  6. I am thrilled that your thumb is cured! Now do not over do it. Lovely lace you are flashing in the top photo. I love fall for all the new knits to make and wear.

  7. Oh wow…it definitely is a good fall to be a knitter. Your little surprise looks absolutely stunning. I cannot wait to see more of it!

  8. SOOOO glad your hand is better!!! Pretty knitting started…..?????? what could it be??? and the Brooklyn Tweed patterns really are all winners. How do you pick???

  9. Beautiful project! I can’t wait to see it finished! How dare you show all that beautiful eye candy!! :-D Don’t you know I have enough projects planned to take me right up through the New Year!?!? :-D

  10. Oh dear, that shawl is ever so tempting… Shawl do tempt me at the moment a lot.
Yay for you knitting again, I hope your fingers will play along!
