Yarning Along with Ginny…
It’s been a slow knitting week here. That flu I was getting over struck again with tummy troubles, and I really didn’t do anything but sit on the sofa and read or watch tv for several days. Anything that took energy was off the list, and that included knitting. But…

since some of you read on Yarn Along days, and not others, I thought I’d share my Milo again. I knit an “afterthought” pocket into the first one. I think it’s going to be ok… though I’m not sure it’s a detail I will do again.
Just for the record: I love this pattern. LOVE. I can’t wait to make more.
As for reading, The Shoemaker’s Wife is growing on me. I haven’t gotten into Winter’s Tale a whole lot. Maybe soon.
I hope your knitting and reading is lovely! I look forward to seeing what everyone is up to this week!
P.S. A couple of you have asked what the pattern and yarn were for the mitts I made my mom. The pattern is Alderman, and can be found here. It was a beautifully written pattern. The yarn is Madelinetosh Tosh DK in the Amber Trinket colourway. Look for it at your local yarn shop!
lovely!! I have my eye on the book you’re reading. Glad to know you are liking it a bit more. It might be a library book for me. I hope you continue to feel better.
Oh no about being sick again (still). I love your little Milo though. If we are blessed with another baby at some point I plan on buying the pattern. It is so sweet!
I’ve been wanting to make a milo forever… your praise of it in that last post might have pushed me over the edge to finally do it
I’ve been wanting to make a Milo but really wasn’t sure I had someone to make it for…guess I do now
I think Bella will be adorable in her own little vest.
I hope you’re feeling better! Your Milo looks great – so cute and I love the blue and white. I keep seeing that pattern and thinking I need to give it a try.
I know… I feel the same way about a pocket I knit like that on a cardigan.
Love how that’s turned out! The detail stripes around the neck is adorable.
Mama being sick is difficult. Hope you feel better soon. The color of that yarn is really pretty.
sounds like some good reads…..and your Milo with an after-thought pocket!! Special!!!
I finished a Milo this week too! Yours is wonderful! I’m glad to hear you are feeling better. What do you think of Winter’s Tale so far? I am in queue for it at the library.
I love that sweet milo! I’ve had it in my favorites for long while now…maybe it’s time?!
erin, the blue and white is so cute, and the little pocket is a really sweet idea on the milo.
Love your milo. I knit up about 7 milos this summer for friends who were all having fall babies. Such a great knit, one of my favourite patterns.
Erin, I hope you are all better and feeling more like yourself. I try at all cost to avoid being sick, but often fail when others bring ‘stuff’ home.
Love your knitting, I always do.
Did you read Wyrd Sisters and like it? { I can’t remember if your have said or not]
My sister just sent a box full of Terry Pratchett since I’ve never read him He is a favorite of her’s.
Adorable Milo! Okay…I think I’m officially the last person in the world who hasn’t knit one of these yet.
